General information

The conference "Numerical methods for solving problems in the theory of elasticity and plasticity" was founded in 1967 by academician N.N. Yanenko. From the very beginning, the geography of the conference was quite wide: Novosibirsk, Vilnius, Chisinau, Tbilisi, Karaganda, Tashkent, Uzhgorod. Currently, the conference is held regularly - every two years, in different cities of Siberia. It is the only forum in the country where the computational aspects of the solution of problems in the theory of elasticity and plasticity are discussed in detail, taking into account the actual requirements of industry practice.

The scientific program includes the following areas:

  • problems of dynamic interaction of bodies with complicated physicochemical properties in a wide range of pressures and temperatures;
  • computational problems and methods for solving problems in the mechanics of a deformable solid, including at multiscale levels;
  • numerical methods for solving problems of strength, stability and destruction of building structures made of composite materials, including concrete and wood.
